Visitation will be from 8:30am to 9:30am Wednesday, July 1st at Christ the King Church, 85th and Wornall, KCMO followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Christ the King Church. Mark was born December 3, 1959 in Kansas City, MO. He will be remembered for his generous heart. Mark attended grade school at Christ the King and high school at Center in Kansas City, Missouri. From an early age, he loved cars and so it was natural that he worked as a transmission technician for most of his career. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Stella Maroon; brothers, Mark Steven, Sam Jr. and Joseph. Mark is survived by sons: Harley Kennedy (Nikki) of Overland Park, KS and Shawn Maroon of Raymore, MO; sister, Judy Barackman (Bob) of Leawood, KS; brother, John Michael Maroon (Steve Leeper) of Maui, HI; three grandchildren; Skyler, Finnegan and Jasper Kennedy; nephews: Rob Barackman (Renee) of Lake Quivira, KS and Steve Barackman of Los Angeles, CA; nieces: Jessica Kennedy of Kansas City, MO; Jamie Brewer of Belton, MO; and Daniele Baldwin of Overland Park, KS and former wife and friend, Karen Kennedy.
