Mary Ann Kimbrell

Mary Ann Cooner Kimbrell, 79, was accompanied by her Angels to her heavenly home on February 11, 2017 at KU Medical Center. Mary Ann was born November 1937 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Bishop Hogan High School in 1955. Mary Ann worked for Southwestern Bell from 1955 to 1986 when she retired. She was crowned Miss Southwestern Bell Princess in 1962 when the Princess phone came out. She loved spending time at her home in Warsaw, MO with her friends and family and watching her grandchildren play sports. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Henkel and Mary Katherine (Kelly) Henkel; 2 husbands, John Cooner and Les Kimbrell. She leaves behind a son, John Joseph Cooner and wife Susan; daughter Lisa-Ann Cooner; grandchildren, Caitlyn Cooner (Sugar Babe), John Joseph "Joey" Cooner, Jr.(My Baseball Hero) and Kaci Cooner (Happy Girl); many friends and family. We will all miss her sweet smile and beautiful laughter.
