Matthew Thomas Cody, age 47, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on August 10, 2024. Matthew was born in Milwaukee, WI on Dec 9, 1976, and attended Lutheran school for his primary years and graduated from Elkhorn Area High School; attended bible college in Kansas City, Missouri.

Matthew started his own painting company, “Saints Painting, LLC” in 2003 and was a successful and experienced residential and commercial painting contractor. He served the Kansas City area and was known for his professionalism and dedication to his craft and garnered a well-known reputation built on excellence, integrity, and customer satisfaction. 

Matthew was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and tried to live his life accordingly. He had wit and humor, natural musical talent, and loved the Green Bay Packers. His optimism, loyalty, and love for family and friends were the cornerstone of his life.

Matthew is survived by his two children, Natalie age 19, and Levi, age 15, Mother Vicki Hoffman, sisters Amanda Ogle, Catherine Cody, Jill Ackerman (Josh), nieces, nephews, and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 18th at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131. Visitation is at 2pm, followed by services at 3pm.
