Michael 'Mike' Nash

Michael G. "Mike" Nash, 74, passed away suddenly March 2, 2016. The rosary will be prayed at 2pm Sunday at St. John Francis Regis Parish, 8941 James A. Reed Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138 followed by visitation until 4:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. John Francis Regis Parish.Mike was born June 8, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Melvin and Mary Ann Nash. After serving in the US Air Force, Mike worked for Universal Underwriters for 33 years retiring in 1999. Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #13671 4th Degree, and an active member of St. John Francis Regis Parish. He enjoyed hunting at "the property," fishing at Bennett Spring, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe and Jim Nash; and sister, Carol Mendenhall. Survivors include his wife, Kay; son, Bill and wife Julie; daughter, Teresa Schnitker and husband Mike; grandchildren, Andrea Nash, Allison, Emily and Ryan Schnitker; brothers, John, Tom and Pat Nash; and sisters, Mary Beth Kramer and Cathy Petersen.
