Michael Samuel Tristanio

Michael Samuel Tristanio, 60, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Independence, Missouri. He was born on December 1, 1964, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Michael was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. His unwavering faith in God was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his relationships and actions. He had a generous spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Whether fixing something that was broken or simply offering support, he was someone others could rely on.

A skilled tinkerer, Michael had an innate ability to repair just about anything. He found joy in working with his hands and took pride in making things function again. Beyond his love for fixing things, his greatest affection was reserved for his beloved fur babies: Ella, Tiny, Goldie, Chip, Zeus, Buddy, and Teddy B., who brought him endless companionship and happiness.

Michael is survived by his brother Joseph A. Tristanio; his children Dustin Thresher and wife Elizabeth, Cynthia Thresher, Misty Thresher, and Thomas Thresher; as well as his cherished grandchildren Kendric, AnnaBella, Taylor, Jacob, Gordon, Sarah, Brooklyn, Connor, Justin, Scarlet, and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Grogan; fathers Joseph Tristanio and Richard Keene.

Michael’s kindness and generosity touched many lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Muehlebach Funeral Chapel (6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64131), followed by a funeral service at the same location from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A graveside service will take place at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery (7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64138) at 12:00 PM. Following the graveside service, lunch will be served back at Muehlebach Funeral Chapel.
