Mike Wainstock

Mike Wainstock, 87, passed away October 20, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. Visitation will be held from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM Thursday, October 23rd at St. Thomas More Parish with the rosary prayed at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 5:00 PM Thursday at St. Thomas More Parish, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO. Private Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Mike had many physicians who not only provided exceptional care, but truly took the time to build meaningful friendships. Deepest thanks to Kansas City Hospice who treated Mike and his family with dignity and respect. Mike was born May 20, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Ben and Bertha (Bloomberg) Wainstock. He worked for Happy Hollow and General Standard Liquors until he retired in 1992 and was well know in the wine industry. Mike is survived by his wife, Lucie Wainstock; children; Stephen (Jean) Wainstock, Michelle (Gary) Salzman, Jeneen Rockhold, and Annette (John) Robertson, a sister, Betty Sokoloff, Grandchildren; Sarah, Emily, Michael, Emma, Matthew, and Claire, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Leo and Himie Wainstock.
