Musa Ann Pyle, age 91, passed away on January 12, 2025 at her home in Kansas City, MO. Musa was born on December 29, 1933, in Decatur, IL. She was raised in various cities around the mid-west. Her family eventually moved to Kansas City where she met her husband, Robert Pyle, and they married on April 11, 1955. They went on to have eight children together and spent many of those years as members of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Kansas City. She attended St. Teresa’s Academy, Clark College – Dubuque, IA, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in liberal arts from UMKC in 1990. Her greatest interest and source of joy in life was her family and dear friends. She was a caring and kind person to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Sarah Martin; siblings, Thomas Martin, Walt Martin, and Paul Martin. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Karen Martin (Paul) of Prairie Village, KS; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Joyce Pyle of Springfield, MO; her eight children, Michael Kelly Pyle, Bryan Pyle (Min), Ben Pyle, Martin Pyle (Jean), Theresa Fenani (Ajit), Kathleen Fogel (Mark), Cory Baglien (Scott), Robert Pyle (Devin); numerous nephews and nieces; sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, who she loved and adored.
A Visitation will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Rd., KCMO, on Friday, January 24th beginning at 9am, with the Rosary prayed at 9:30am, and Mass of Christian Burial following at 10am. Interment held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph, 8001 Longview Rd., KCMO 64134, or Christ the King Catholic Church.
