Pamela Ann Pendleton

PAMELA ANN (PAM) PENDLETON Pam Pendleton, 65, left this world on September 3, 2015 surrounded by loved ones, to meet the Lord and join the host awaiting her arrival with a new and glorified body in heaven. Pam was a lifelong Christian and longtime member of the Overland Park Church of Christ. Pam had a strong faith in Jesus and went to South America twice on mission trips and worked many years preparing handwork for childrens bible classes. She loved the body of believers at Overland Park and even though illness had kept her from regular attendance for several years, she maintained a close bond with many who proved themselves to truly be among her best friends. Thank you to those who remembered Pam with cards, visits, flowers and phone calls over a lifetime of health struggles. Pam spent her college years at York College and later at Oklahoma Christian College. She worked as a bookkeeper at her fathers appliance store, and later as a clerk for the Internal Revenue Service. Pam loved to travel, and took pride in having visited almost every state in the union, and never gave up hope for maybe getting to those few that remained on her list. She was also blessed to travel internationally on several other occasions. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Pendleton and Ruth Pendleton. She is survived by three siblings, Nancy McAuley (Mike) of Leawood, KS, Charles Alan Pendleton of Chester, CT, Jeffrey Pendleton (Marcia) of Kansas City, MO, a nephew, Ryan McAuley (Beverly), two nieces, Kristen Taylor (John), Kelly Lloyd (Matt), and two great-nephews, Bailey McAuley and Owen Taylor, and a great niece, Zoe Taylor. Services for Pam will be on Friday, September 11th at the Overland Park Church of Christ, 13400 W 119th St., with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am and funeral services at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd. Kansas City, MO. Memorial gifts may be made to Christian Family Services of the Midwest.
