Paul Barbieri

Paul Barbieri, Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on February 15th, 2025. He was 88 years old.

He leaves behind a daughter, Paula Barton (Bill), a son, Bill Barbieri (Kara), a brother, Bill Barbieri (Blanca), a sister, Sister Angela Rose Barbieri, and grandchildren Michelle Aucoin (Mike), Chris Barton (Amber), Alex Barbieri (Julia) and Reed Barbieri in addition to 6 great-grandchildren Jack, Lila, Ellie, Emma, Beau, and James, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousin and extended families.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Bernie. Paul tirelessly cared for Bernie during her years of illness, ensuring she was surrounded by love, family and the best care he could provide. He was also preceded in death by his parents Bill and Angela (Ingino) Barbieri and by his grandson Ellis Barbieri.

Paul’s career was spent as a proud, dedicated member of Local IBEW 124 for over 66 years where he made many of his most cherished lifelong friends.

Paul had a deep grounded and unwavering faith. Paul was a volunteer with various church and community organizations throughout his life and has been an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for the last 25 years.

Paul loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed the times spent with his large extended family and for many years hosted holiday gatherings with his wife Bernie. Their kindness and sharing included being home base to several Honduran Students.

Paul never met a stranger, loved people and enjoyed sharing stories and photos. He was a dedicated community and church member, cherished friend, father, grandfather and the hub for his family. His loss will be deeply felt, but is remembered with love.

Visitation will be held February 24, 2025 at 9:30am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 SW State Route 150, Lee's Summit MO 64082. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:30am and The Mass of Christian Burial will follow, starting at 11:00am.
