Paul Elliott Chaney

January 10, 2002 — September 12, 2022

“Wherever there was laughter or wherever the commotion was, there was Paul Chaney.” ~ Coach Mike

Paul’s life was much bigger than the incomplete 20 years and 9 months he spent on this earth. He left us Monday, September 12, 2022. It’s inconceivable, as he was finally living his best life with his husky dog, Alice the Aligator. He created this joy in his life through hope, struggle, strength, and a deep ability to connect with people.

Countless stories from those who love him echo common experiences and our relationship with our son. He exemplified unconditional love, how to be a real friend, a contagious goofy sense of humor, genuine compassion, and what it meant to be a teammate. These and other unique characteristics embody who he was as a person that committed himself 100% to life.

True to form, he designated himself as an organ donor. Paul cast a stone that will ripple not only through those five lives but into the lives they touch, as well. We have all been deeply impacted in knowing, loving, and celebrating Paul Chaney.
