R. Stephen 'Steve' Pierce

Steve was born March 13, 1939 in Kansas City, MO to Wayne and Elabell Pierce. He was a graduate of North Kansas City High School and served in the US Air Force. On March 25, 1957 he married Deona Lee Gibson and together they raised five children. Steve began his career with IBM where he continued until his retirement. Following retirement, Steve continued his education receiving his degrees in criminal justice, psychology and earning his private pilot license.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Stephanie Rose Erdman. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dee Pierce; sons, Mike, Brian, Steve and wife Nicole and Matt Pierce; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Villa Ventura, Interim Health Care and Kansas City Hospice for the loving care given to him during his brief illness.
