Renee Marie Befort

Renee Marie Befort 50, Baldwin City KS died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City MO. She was born April 2, 1965 in Hays, Kansas to Adam and Rita Befort. She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Spriggs, partner, Virgil Nunnery, three brothers, Randy and wife Cecile, Shawnee KS, Curtis and wife Susan, Lenexa KS, Craig and wife Renee, Wichita KS, two sisters, Cindy Rohr and husband Steve, St. Charles MO and Rhonda Rowcroft and husband Eric, Shawnee KS. and 13 nieces and nephews. Renee held several different administrative and service positions in her adult life, most recently as compliance Manager for Commercial Group for the past 10 years reviewing and managing multiple senior housing sites. She enjoyed watching Hannah in her horse competitions, and, like her mother, making sure those she loved never went hungry. And no one who knew Renee and Virgil was unaware of how important their dog Kramer was in their life together. Services will be held Saturday, March 5th at Sacred Heart Parish, 5501 Monticello Rd., Shawnee, KS. Visitation will be at 9:30 am followed by the funeral at 10:30 am. Donations can be made in her name to the Kansas City Hospice House: 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145.She was preceded in death by her parents "Addie" and Rita Befort who she so peacefully joined.
