Richard Coleman

Richard L. Coleman, 101, of Kansas City, MO, passed away October 19, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be private. Richard was born December 8, 1912 to Elbert and Fern (Sollars) Coleman. He married his wife Grace (Jackson) Coleman on June 11, 1938. He attended the University of Kansas where he earned his Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and was a member of the Triangle Fraternity. He was the V.P. of Carter-Waters Corp. He served as a board member for Avila University. He was involved in the Rotary Club. He was a member of the Engineer?s Club and also the Native Sons of Kansas City. He was a very active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, Elbert Coleman, and a sister, Bonnie Morgan. He is survived by his daughter, Loretta McCarthy and husband Dick; sons, Richard N. Coleman and wife Elsa, Steven P. Coleman and wife Pat; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
