Robert 'Bob' Meyers

Robert "Bob" Meyers, 77, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully January 5, 2017. Born August 25, 1939 in Chicago, IL to William A. and Frances G. (Hermann) Meyers. Bob graduated from Visitation Parish High School before entering the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years before retiring in 1977. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, JoAnn Shelton. He is survived by his sons, Michael Brian (Patricia) of Overland Park, KS, Matthew Jamieson (Melissa) of San Ramon, CA; grandchildren, Jeffrey M., Christopher J. Stevon A., Jamieson and Jack; great grandchildren, Weston and Bennett; his companion of many years, Julia Shanahan; sister, Kathleen Consenza; brother, Quentin Meyers. Visitation will be from 11-1pm Wednesday, January 11th at Muehlebach Funeral Care followed by prayer services at 1pm. Interment will be in The Legacy Garden of Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to The Wounded Warrior Project.
