Robert D. 'Bob' Dick

Robert D. "Bob" Dick, 89, passed away October 12, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Friday, October 16th at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO. Interment with military honors will be at Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Thomas More Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.Bob was born April 25, 1926 in Kingman, KS to Glenn and Ruth Dick. Bob served in the US Navy retiring as a Captain. He co-founder of I.A.R.W insurance Company and managed it through Americana Services, Inc. for over 38 years.Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Dottie Dick; children, Jean Liggett and husband Steve, Sheryl Dick, Michael Dean and wife Cynthia, Missy McKinney, Gigi Thomure, Michael Thomure and Tim Thomure; grandchildren, Emily and Abby Liggett, Katie and Julie Dean; sisters, Marjorie Killingsworth, Martha Elliott and Jeanne Hawley; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob had a passion for golf and over the years made two holes-in-one. The family would like to thank Grace Hospice and Bob's caregivers, Jennifer and Robin, for the loving care given during Bob's illness.
