Robert Ira Caffey

Robert Ira Caffey, 84, passed away September 12, 2014. The rosary will be prayed 9:00 am Wednesday, September 17th followed by visitation until 10:00 am at St. Peter?s Parish, 701 East Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64131. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 10:00am. Interment with military honors will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Robert was born May 3, 1930 in Glendora, CA. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded three Bronze Stars. Robert went on to work as a firefighter for the US Forest Services for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sean Caffey and Lila Rowland; two sisters, Margaret Hearle and Shirley Caffey. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Caffey; children, Brian Caffey and wife Denise, Julianne Caffey, Robert A. Caffey and wife Diane, Fawn Caffey, Michael Caffey, Gerald Caffey and wife Kelly; a sister, Deanna Dunn and many grandchildren.
