Robert J. 'Bob' Kelly, Jr.

Robert J. "Bob" Kelly, Jr., 79, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 surrounded by family. Bob was born October 13, 1936 in Ashland, KY to Pauline and Robert J. Kelly, Sr. He played basketball at Ashland Junior College and received his Bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University. He served in the Army Reserves. Bob worked as a Computer Systems Manager for Children's Mercy Hospital and also worked at Rockhurst High School. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and the Knights of Columbus.Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Judith Thompson Kelly; daughter, Margaret "Megan" Kelly; son, Robert "Bob" (Julie) Kelly III, and their daughters, Katie and Allison Kelly; his brother, Tim Kelly (Carol) and their children, Kimberly Kelly and Kevin (Brenna) Kelly. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 25th at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1001 E. 52nd St., KCMO, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Church.
