Robert J. Byrne

Robert J. (Bob) (Jerry) Byrne, 80 of Kansas City Mo. Passed away Peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital on September 22, 2015. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm Friday, September 25th at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 4101 E. 105th Terr, Kansas City, MO 64137 where the rosary will be prayed at 5:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday at the Church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Catherine of Siena Parish Food Pantry.Jerry was born May 21, 1935 to Joseph and Mary Irene Byrne in Kansas City, Mo. He attended Rockhurst High School before moving to Houston, TX where he graduated high school and attended the University of Houston. Jerry worked in sales for over 35 years including working for George H. Weyer, Co.Jerry leaves his wife of 58 years Mary Ellen Byrne, his children, Erin Schmidt (Steve), Kelley Byrne, Pat Byrne, Shawn Byrne (Amy), Kathleen Byrne Hays (Paul) and Brendon Byrne. Daughter in law Lisa Byrne. He was preceded in death by his son Tim Byrne; his parents; two brothers and two sisters. He also leaves 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews whom he was very fond of.
