Robert S. Duehren

Robert S. Duehren, 76, of Grandview, MO passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Sunday, January 17, 2016. Born on June 30, 1939 in Concordia, KS to William and Alice Duehren. Bob grew up in Concordia. He graduated from Concordia Catholic High School in 1957, attended Marquette University and then Washburn University. He served in the Army afterwards, moving to KC where he met his wife, Jan. Bob worked for RJ Reynolds, Barber & Sons, and retired in 2005. Bob was an active member and volunteer at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, camping and attending his children and grandchildren's sports and school activities.Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jan of Grandview, MO. Bob was an extremely loving and proud father of his three children: son, Chris Duehren and wife Deb of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren Jordin and Dustin and great grandchildren Angerial and Toby; daughter, Michelle Arreguin and husband Fred and grandchildren, Alex and Natalie of Lee's Summit, MO. He is also survived by his sisters, Helen Johnson (Parsons, KS), Jody Taylor (Dallas, TX), and Sister Severin (Rochester, MN), many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Bob was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie Duehren; brother, William Duehren; and sister, Mary Alice Widen. A Rosary will be held Saturday, January 23rd at 9:30 AM at Saint Matthew's Catholic Church (8001 Longview Road, Kansas City, MO 64134) followed by a Visitation and then Mass at 11:00 AM. Memorial Donations may be made in Bob's name to Saint Matthew's Catholic Church.
