Sandra “Sue” Francisco passed into the care of her Savior on March 3, 2024, surrounded by family.
Sue was born in a little farmhouse on November 30, 1941, in Wright County, Missouri at nearly midnight. She lived a country life, walking barefoot to a one-room schoolhouse, milking cows, and gathering eggs from the chickens. She once commented that she felt really lucky to grow up in the country.
She moved up from the Ozarks to Kansas City when she was a teenager, and married her husband, Dale Francisco, in 1963. They had three children and made Raytown their home for fifty-six years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, watching old movies, and reading. She always had a beautiful way with words, and her “story” voice was deemed enchanting. Ever the gracious soul, she soothed those around her with her kindness, patience, and gentility.
Sue was a faithful follower of Jesus, and she was a living proof of His love. She taught Sunday school, starting with the 3-4 years olds and later on taught a class of widowed women. Constantly pouring into others, you could frequently find her cooking in the church kitchen on Wednesday nights or preparing funeral dinners.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lois and Virgil Prock, and her husband Dale. She is survived by her children, Eric Francisco, Phillip Francisco, and Julie Clark; her two grandchildren, Madison and Payton Clark; and her siblings, John Prock, Debbie Swope, and Robin Leeds.
Her life will be honored on March 11 at Reach Church Raytown. Visitation will be at noon, followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.
