Sebastian “Chuck” Gerald Allen, 59, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on January 15th, 2024. Sebastian was born March 13th, 1964, in St. Louis, MO to Wilbur G. and Ruth L. Allen. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Chuck grew up in St. Louis, spent time with his sister Dorothy in Los Angeles, and attended high school in Des Moines, IA. While there, he lived with Melvern and Marylyn Anderson, formed many friendships, and played high school baseball. Upon graduation, he attended Iowa State University in Ames, IA. Sebastian graduated with a B.S. in Architecture in 1987. He pledged Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc., Omicron Pi chapter in the spring of 1986.

Upon graduation, Chuck married and settled in KC where he pursued his passion as an Architect for local design firms on commercial building projects for about 15 years. He retired from his career early due to health complications. In lieu, he spent many years deepening his ties to the Kansas City metropolitan area through service, volunteer, and charitable works, often as a member of the local church. Chuck continued to make a positive impact in his community, noted in his support of the Obama and Biden campaigns and his involvement with local voting registration efforts. During his later years, he spent time with Avis Rental Group on logistics operations and Aras Promotions as a sommelier.

Chuck loved to travel to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Cuba. He was an avid fan of all sports, most notably the KC Chiefs and KC Royals. He loved BMWs and enjoyed a cigar in his leisure with local buddies. Chuck never ceased to improve himself or his relationships with those near and far. He always stressed the importance of strong family ties and made great efforts to reconnect with long-lost relatives. Sebastian was a father, brother, grandy, son, uncle, nephew, cousin, mentor, and friend. He left us too soon.

Sebastian is survived by his two sons Justin Goodwin Allen (wife Ashley) of Tracy, CA, and Sebastian Gabriel Tolliver of Chattanooga, TN. His four grandchildren are Aniyah Allen, Justin Allen, Amara Allen, and Bryson Allen. He is also survived by brothers Stan Brown Jr. (wife Staci) of St. Louis, MO, and Edward Allen (wife Erin) of Reno, NV, and sister Dorothy Koger of Los Angeles, CA. His nieces and nephews are Lucious Trey, Kourtney, Chance, Stan Brown (III), Anna, Owen, and Isabella. In addition, his cousins include Angie, Monty, and Henry.
