Suzanne Cramer, 94, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 14, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. Burial will take place in St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery in Pilot Grove, MO. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Suzanne was born August 19th, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Lorene (Ziegle) Wesselman, in Pilot Grove, MO and was raised in Booneville, MO. She attended St. Martin’s Grade School and Booneville Catholic High, then went on to business school in Sedalia, MO. In Sedalia, Suzanne worked as a bookkeeper in the Tullis Hall Dairy where she met her husband, Dwight. They married in December of 1952, a bond that lasted 70 beautiful years. Even at 94, Suzanne claimed the “best day of her life” to be the day Dwight returned home from the Korean war. Together they had three children, raised them in Kansas City, and were a vibrant part of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church community. Suzanne was deeply kind, sharply aware, and unfailingly loving to her family and friends. These qualities ran true for her decades-long career in business as well, working for Kansas City companies: Bremson Photos, Gay Gibson Clothing, Rockhurst College, Lakeside Hospital, and the University of Health Sciences. Above all, Suzanne was steadfast in her faith and in her love for her family, especially her husband.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Earline. She is survived by her husband Dwight and their three children, son, Jiles Cramer (Barbara); and daughters, Sara Biskup (Jeffrey) and Renee Hunter (Kevin); six grandchildren, Leah Coady (Kyle), Rachel Pistorius (Kevin), Ryan Biskup (Paige), Andrew Hunter, Livia Smith (Josh), and Sydney Hunter; and six great grandchildren, Kason Kleban, Molly, Lily, Teddy Coady, Riley Smith, and Hattie Biskup.
The family would like to thank the caregivers, Lisa, Margarita, Melody, Jan, and Julie, as well as the Enhabit Hospice team for providing compassionate care in her final days.
