Teresa G. Shockley of Prairie Village, Kansas, died peacefully on August 11, 2018. Teresa was born November 19th, 1927, the daughter of John and Anna (Haber) Damich of Bentleyville, PA, and the youngest of eight children.After high school (salutatorian), she attended Waynesburg University on an academic scholarship. she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was elected to "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities" for two successive years. Teresa received two degrees with three majors--English, Music and Drama. She performed in various roles as well as directing several plays while in college.After graduating, she modeled in New York City and for two years acted in summer stock in Plymouth, MA. Teresa met the love of her life, William Shockley, in one of the plays in which he was also cast. They were married for 46 years, before Bill's passing, and had one son, Stewart.Teresa is survived by her son, Stewart and two grandchildren, Austin and Teresa.Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am, Friday, August 24th, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agnes Church, 5250 Mission Rd. A small committal service at Resurrection Cemetery will follow after the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Agnes Church.
