Terry Dale Smith

Terry Dale Smith 63 of Independence, Mo, the son of Clyde & Wanda Smith passed away May 1st, 2024.

Terry was born January 7, 1961 in Thayer, Mo. The family moved to the Kansas City, Mo. area in 1963 and he became a life-long resident of Independence, Mo.

In 1983 while married Terry had a daughter Lindsey Nicole. Within a few years Terry contracted a rare immune system disorder and had medical issues up until his death. 

In the years that followed he devoted his life to caring for his parents and making sure their needs were met. Terry was always willing to help friends and family when his health allowed and was a devoted son, brother and friend.  The family is comforted knowing he lived a life of quiet service and that he is now with the Lord who he loved. 

He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Smith, his Daughter Lindsey, nephew Christopher Smith and other family and friends.  He is survived by his mother Wanda Smith, sister Kathy Binney, brother Clyde Smith of Wisconsin, Niece Erin Ebersold and her husband Chris, Nephew Ryan (Cody) Binney and his wife Daisy. Honorary Brother Barry Crawford and best friend for many years Sandy DeMarea.
