Thomas Patrick Ising, 65, of Lake Ozark, MO, passed away on February 7, 2025.

Tommy Ising, age 65, of Lake Ozark, passed away on February 7, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Renee Ising and devoted father to his sons Max and Jake Ising. He is also survived by his loving siblings: John (Paula) Ising, Debra (John) Borgman, Theresa (John) Rellihan, Lisa Wilkins, and Chris (Erin) Ising; Renee’s family: father Greg Stervinou; siblings, Jeannine (Tom) Akins, Greg (Tamara) Stervinou, and Michelle (Chris) McElroy; as well as his faithful dog, Gus. Tommy was a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews and a proud grand-uncle to his grandnieces and grandnephews.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Connie Pat (Ma) and Jack (Poppy) Ising and his brothers Rick and Gary Ising; his brother-in-law Roger Wilkins; his nephew Luke Borgman; and his mother-in-law Rose Ellen Stervinou.

He was a proud graduate of O'Hara High School, Class of 1977, where he earned a place in the school's Athletics Hall of Fame as a standout heavyweight wrestler, demonstrating strength and stubbornness that would define much of his life. He was a proud member of the United States Navy where he served from 1977 to 1981, honoring his country with courage and integrity. Tommy then attended the Electronics Institute and went on to service and install electron microscopes, working with one company for 40 years, retiring in March of 2024.

Throughout his life, Tommy was known for his deep love for his family, his selflessness, and his kindness. He faced life’s challenges, including a brave battle with cancer, with remarkable strength and resilience. During this time, he was profoundly moved by the outpouring of support from Saint Luke’s Hospital and their staff. In honor of this, the family invites donations to the Saint Luke’s Foundation, a gesture that Tommy would have greatly appreciated as a way to give back the love and support he received.

A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Centerview Event Center, 227 Municipal Circle, Raymore, Missouri, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. With a little help from his friends we’d like to come together to remember, honor and celebrate our husband, father, brother, and friend.

Tommy will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, service, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
