Vincent Migliazzo

Vincent Migliazzo, 88, a lifetime Kansas Citian, passed away peacefully on March 6, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be at 9:30 am, Thursday, March 10, followed by Mass at 11:00 am, at St. Thomas More Parish, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. The family requests memorial contributions to St. Thomas More Parish or Bishop Spencer Place for benevolent care.Vincent was the youngest son of Salvatore and Mary Migliazzo, born in Kansas City on October 15, 1927. Vincent worked alongside his brothers, nephews and other family members for more than 40 years at Missouri Engravers, a well-known Kansas City business, serving the printing, publishing and advertising industry, from its downtown offices at 18th and McGee Street. Vincent was a devoted, loving and extraordinarily loyal family man. He was often considered the unintended patriarch of the large, extended Migliazzo family - always sharing a kind word and a proud smile to every member of the family, across generations. He loved cooking with his family and playing cards with his friends.Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Carl and Anthony Migliazzo. He is survived by his wife Bernice, of 67 years, and their six children; daughter Debra and husband Bruce, son Vincent and wife Amy, daughter Ann Marie and husband Matthew, son John, son Paul and wife Shelly, and daughter Carol Lynn and husband Rob; and ten grandchildren, Adam (Brother Maximilian), Lauren, Michael and Paul Burkhart; Vincent Migliazzo; Hayley, Mary, and Steven Anthony; Taylor and Olivia Migliazzo; sister Connie Marlo; and many nieces and nephews. Over many decades, the Vincent and Bernice Migliazzo home was widely known among family, friends and neighbors for its open door, comforting embrace, bountiful kitchen, and a ready plate of pasta for every visitor. The Migliazzo family would like to thank the many caregivers and staff at Bishop Spencer Place for their love and care these past several months. We will miss you, Papa.
