Virginia Haake

Virginia Haake, 94, loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away September 10, 2016 at Villa Ventura. The rosary will be prayed at 10am Tuesday, September 13th at St. Elizabeth Church, 75th and Main St. Kansas City, MO followed by visitation and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Elizabeth Church Memorial Fund or the Alzheimers Association.
Virginia was born July 25, 1922 in Kansas City, MO to Michael J. and Nora C. Haugh. She graduated from St. Vincent Grade School and High School. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Arnie J. Haake, Sr.; sisters, Mary Agnes Haugh, Florence B. Coogan and her parents. She is survived by a son, Arnie J. Haake, Jr. and wife Laura; daughters, Peggy Goth and husband Linus, Kathy Walters and husband Tom, Patty Herr and husband Randy; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; a brother, James M. Haugh; a sister, Gerry Swindler.
Virginia was a member of St. Elizabeth Church and enjoyed her time playing bridge. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Villa Ventura and Serenity Hospice for the loving care provided to their mother.
