William J. Flynn

Dr. William J. Flynn, 92, passed away Tuesday, April 4th, at Santa Marta Retirement Community in Olathe Kansas. Bill was born in Kansas City to William S. and Audrey (Haas) Flynn. He graduated from Wichita East High School, attended the University of Kansas and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he was stationed in West Palm Beach, Florida in the United States Air Force where he practiced dentistry for two years.

Bill met the love of his life, Patsy Reedy and they were married on July 30, 1955. They had one daughter, Lisa. Bill and Patsy’s love story carried on for 64 years - they were an inspiration to many.

Bill will be remembered as a consummate gentleman, meticulous dresser, highly regarded dentist, and a wonderful friend to many. He will be missed.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother Jack. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Flynn (Steve) Pruch, his cousin, Dr. Charles (Sheri) Brenner, sister-in-law Michael Ann (Michael) Hanzel and nephews, Michael and Christopher Hanzel.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00, April 18th at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS 66206.
