William (Bill) Charles Knipp of Kansas City passed away on July 8th 2022 of natural causes at the age of 97. He was born and raised on the Knipp family farm in Tipton, Missouri. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri when he was in his 20's. Bill went to art school and became a Draftsman. He joined the Army in 1950 serving 5 years during the Korean War where he earned the Korean Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. After the Army Bill started working for Marion Laboratories and became the Art Director. In 1965 Bill married the love of his life, Bernadina C. Wilde. They were married for over 40 years.
Waiting to greet him in Heaven are: his loving wife, his mother and his father, Alma and Henry Knipp; brothers Jerry and Harold Knipp; sister, Lola Jacobson and other family members from both sides. Bill was a wonderful, humble, gentle, giving man and full of wit and charm. Bill and Bernie were devoted to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church of Kansas City. He has a lot of family that will miss him very much. Bill will be laid to rest next to his loving wife and other family members in his home town of Tipton, Missouri on July 15th, 2022. He will be missed dearly and never forgotten. God bless him and thank God for giving him to us.
