2021 Excellence in Customer Service Award

In May 2022, Muehlebach Funeral Care was awarded the Johnson Consulting Group Excellence in Customer Service Award for our performance in 2021. The nationwide winners of this award are the best of the best in providing exceptional customer service. We are very proud to have been recognized with this honor every year for the past 3 years.

2020 KCPD Meritorious Service Award

We were pleased that Steve Pierce was awarded the 2020 Kansas City Police Department Meritorious Service award by Police Chief Rick Smith for his outstanding service provided to the police department.

Muehlebach Funeral Care: 2016 25 Under 25 Award Recipient 

Muehlebach Funeral Care was selected as a winner of the 2016 25 Under 25 Award. The awards are presented to 25 local businesses with fewer than 25 employees. An independent panel of area business leaders chooses the winning companies. Nearly 1,500 nominations were submitted. Companies are judged on their financial stability, ability to overcome adversity and challenges, community involvement, distinguishing or defining characteristics, and company vision.

Steve Pierce, 2016 Funeral Director of the Year Runner-up

Steve Pierce, Kansas City, was selected as a 2016 Funeral Director of the Year Runner-Up by American Funeral Director magazine. The annual nationwide award program selects the top funeral directors in the country based on the following criteria:

• Community involvement
• Role model for funeral service
• Innovative approach to funeral service
• Displays outstanding business acumen in sales/marketing/customer service
• Demonstrates a compassionate approach to working with customer families
